As reported by Pitchfork, this years Coachella line-up is out of the bag and is shaping up to be one of the most impressive festivals to date.

In case you missed it, Portishead will be appearing on Saturday!!!
That means they will at least make a stop in the US. With the first set of concert dates announced last week, we can only continue to cross our fingers that more North American dates will follow.

Other acts of note: The Breeders (who are currently preparing their next release), Madness (!!!!), Kraftwerk, M.I.A., Carbon/Silicon (new project from Tony James and Mick Jones) & Love and Rockets.

As this gets closer, I'm sure more bands will be added. We're predicting My Bloody Valentine and Radiohead to make it to the bill as well—just a hunch and in no way based off of outside information.

Portishead Announce Tour Dates

As reported this evening by Pitchfork, one of the greatest bands of the 90's, Portishead has announced dates for their upcoming spring tour with a promise of more to come.

If you are anywhere near these shows, make sure you cue up early for tickets.

2008 is quickly shaping up to be an amazing year for music!

We went to sleep and just woke up to find out that its a new year!

Merry Christmas; Happy New Year!

Best albums of the year were: M.I.A., The Perishers, Sea Wolf (thanks Singer), Arcade Fire, Interpol, Editors, Bat For Lashes, Blonde Redhead, Low, The Thermals, and of course, Sigur Rós & Radiohead. It was a good year for music.

So whats on the horizon?

Outside of Portishead and Morrissey—We'll see.

Portishead upcoming release in final mixdown

"as to the new album , we met the label the other day which was good , i dont think we scared them too much..well mabey a little. going to london to have a listen in a proper studio soon but until then were just mixing the stumps ,stems.whatever. ---------thinking about names ---------films looking really good"

Meeting with the label reps, thinking of names and having a "proper" listen all adds up to . . . wait a minute—did he say something about a film? Holy Crap!

If there's some sort of film to go along with this album, we think we'd be willing to overlook the fact that we've been "Portishead-less" for the last decade. Maybe.

Until then, fingers crossed for an early 2008 release date. Stay tuned.
